Feis Finder brings the world's only feis database app to your iPhone, giving you instant access to feis dates, feis locations, feis syllabi and more right from your homescreen!
What began as an ambitious dream has now become a reality, with the Feis Finder app available on the App Store, bringing feises from around the world directly to your pocket.
As a dancer myself, I struggled to find feis information online, without getting swept up in a social media binge and losing out on precious time that could have been spent practicing! Three years passed and I was still longing for a better vector for feis information communication, wishing someone would hurry up and make an app! At the end of my dancing career, I thought why wait for somebody else?
I set up the Facebook page to gauge interest in the idea, taught myself coding and drank lots of coffee (lots!), all in the interest of making the Feis Finder app a reality for the next generation of dancers. I've worked with many of you over the last few months on this app, an app I wish I'd had growing up on the feis circuit. It would have made my life so much easier!
The new app allows you to filter feises by your region so you can see what competitions are nearby.
It will host a list of the major championships in each organisation so you can plan ahead.
You can view any feis syllabus in fullscreen mode within the app, or download the syllabus to your phone for offline use.
You can see the feis venue pinned to a map and tap-the-map to get directions there!
There's a button to save the feis date in your calendar to keep track of your personal feis circuit!
There's another button to share the feis on social media right from within the app, and another to easily submit your feis to the Feis Finder feis database for inclusion on our platforms.
We've worked hard to revolutionise the world of feising so you can focus solely on the dancing!
